‘Awaken Your Day: Monthly Morning Yoga’ is a 3 and a half hour yoga session designed to cater to your physical and mental health needs. The morning will offer a blend of movement to energise, strengthen and stretch your body, helping you keep on top of your mobility while at the same time you offering you time to relax and calm the inner chatter. 

The perfect way to set yourself up for the weekend and the month ahead. 

The morning will start with 1 and a half hours of energizing yoga to help get us up and moving - this month we'll take some time to explore backbends, creating space in the body to be able to bend backwards safely and strongly. You'll be surprised at how strong you actually are. There'll be a workshop feel to this first part of the morning to give you the time and space to experience this aspect of yoga.

After a short break (because, cake), we’ll cool down for an hour with Moon Salutations as well as lots of calming and restorative poses. Another short break follows before ending the morning with a 30 minute guided meditation/relaxation. 

Mats and props will be provided (but bring your own if you'd rather) along with all the refreshments. I'd recommend bringing warm, cosy clothing and/or blankets for the longer relaxation at the end as bodies can cool down quite a lot after yoga.

The morning is suitable for complete beginners to anyone wanting to deepen their practice. Chair users can always be accommodated. 

Whittington Moor Church Hall is a beautifully clean, light, airy and warm space, with plenty of facilities and a dedicated parking area if you drive.

Step off your mat feeling refreshed, de-stressed and step into the coming month feeling ready to face whatever life throws at you.
