Balancing work/life/family/illnesses (the list goes on) is more than just a full time job. And when people tell you you’re being ever so resilient, you inwardly groan. You’ve lost all concept of what that word means. Work are trying to be helpful by suggesting courses which don’t actually seem to give you any concrete coping mechanisms. They certainly don’t help you feel resilient. Instead, you feel like you could explode at any moment.

Yeah, I’ve been there too. And I hate the word ‘resilient’.

 

I worked for the NHS for just over 8 years and left in a state of burnout. Both my parents were teachers and so I saw first-hand the stresses that institution are under too. All my life I’ve seen and experienced what stress does to the mind and to the body.

 

Enough is enough.

 

Join me on an 8 week course designed to combat the symptoms of stress and anxiety and promote a better sense of your own wellbeing. No prior experience needed.

During this supportive course, you will:
  • Undertake an evidence based and research backed course

  • Gain an understanding of neuroscience and mindfulness

  • Understand what resilience and (re) find yours

  • Understand your stress, its triggers and symptoms 

  • Experience live mindfulness practices including: Body scan; Mindful movement; Breath awareness; Loving kindness

  • Gain valuable coping mechanisms to manage stress and anxiety

  • Increase your ability to relax, your sense of well-being and self-acceptance

  • Reduce feelings of stress and anxiety

  • Create a sustainable mindfulness practice that permits you "me-time"

What this mindfulness course entails

We will meet weekly on Zoom for 8 weeks in a community of no more than 12. You are also invited to join an optional half-day retreat around week six where you will be able to dive deeper into your mindfulness practice.

 

You are encouraged to commit to a daily practice of 30 minutes during the 8 week course.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Registration

The MBSR course cost is £230, which includes a participants pack and MP3 audion guided meditations and mindful movement. You are asked to complete a Registration Form upon booking, after which I will schedule a short telephone call with you.
